Our Mission and Vision
Supportive Spaces CIC was founded by Alison and Sue, two local women who bring both lived experience and more than 18 years of combined professional experience supporting people across Salford.
Having spent many years living and working within the area, we recognised that sometimes what people need most is something simple – time, understanding, encouragement and the opportunity to take that first step forward.
Supportive Spaces grew from our belief that support should feel personal and accessible, while recognising the strengths, experiences and individuality of every person who comes through our doors.
Our mission is to create opportunities for people to move forward, discover what works for them and become more involved in the community around them, at a pace that feels right for them.
Our vision is to continue building an organisation that reflects the community it serves – one that listens, evolves and isn't afraid to do things differently when that's what local people need.
Above all, we want Supportive Spaces to be somewhere people know they matter, their voice is valued and they are always welcome.

Join Us in Making a Difference
There are lots of ways you can support the work of Supportive Spaces and help us reach more people across our community.
You could volunteer your time, get involved in one of our steering groups, help spread the word about our services or simply tell someone about us who may benefit from our support.
Every connection helps us reach someone who might otherwise not know that support is available.
Want to get involved? We'd love to hear from you.
